Responsibilities
Operates solid waste vehicles/equipment in support of daily bulk trash operations, solid waste and recycling routes, including side loader, rear loader, and brush truck
May also operate other equipment such as a tractor, street sweeper, loader/backhoe, and/or other equipment
Complies with Department of Transportation (DOT) rules and regulations by conducting pre-trip and post-trip inspections, maintaining equipment, performing spot checks, checking fluids, fueling vehicles, and ensuring all parts are functioning properly
Assembles and repairs plastic waste containers by installing or replacing wheels, axles, and lids
Delivers containers to customers
Completes daily work logs and prepares paperwork necessary for daily operations
Qualification
Required
A High School Diploma or GED equivalency is required
An equivalent combination of education and job-related experience may be substituted on a year-for-year basis
One (1) year of experience operating heavy equipment
A valid Arizona Class B Commercial Driver's License and a current DOT medical examination certificate are required
