Responsibilities
This position will be primarily responsible for vehicle and facility maintenance and cleanliness, including bus stops and shelters
Duties will include washing, fueling, and performing pre-trip inspections on Capital Transit’s buses and support vehicles, facility cleaning and trash removal
Specific assignments are given by the Transit Superintendent and work is checked for completeness and adherence to schedules
This position requires heavy lifting, and physical endurance
You will be frequently working outdoors in inclement weather conditions
Qualification
Required
Valid State of Alaska Driver's License at time of application
Or a valid Class 'A' or 'B' Commercial Driver's License with airbrake and passenger from any U.S. state at time of application
Must obtain a valid State of Alaska Class 'A' or 'B' Commercial Driver's License, including appropriate endorsements within 9 months of appointment for continued employment
