Responsibilities

Lead design initiatives to develop hardware and software architectures that meet performance requirements and safety standards
Own the full systems engineering lifecycle from requirements capture through validation, verification, and integration with customer systems
Enable certification success by managing ARP4754, DO-254, and DO-178 derived processes and associated artifacts
Serve as the primary technical liaison between customers, suppliers, and cross-functional teams
Ensure product development compliance by staying current with international regulations, certification pathways, and avionics industry trends
Collaborate across disciplines coordinating with engineering, test, quality, and manufacturing teams to deliver exceptional results
Drive innovation by independently and proactively identifying and implementing process improvements

Required

Eligible candidates must be authorized to work in the U.S
This position requires access to export control information. To conform to US Export Control regulations, applicant should be eligible for any required authorizations from the US Government

Preferred

Bachelor's Degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Mathematics, or related aerospace engineering discipline
7 + years of experience designing systems for aerospace or other highly regulated industries
5+ years of experience in systems engineering with knowledge of the full lifecycle produce development process
Technical expertise in avionics architecture, human-systems interfaces, digital data buses, electronics design, and/or embedded software
Certification experience with industry standards, preferably including DO-160, DO-254, DO-178, ARP 4754, and FAR regulations
Understanding of avionics systems architecture with emphasis on aircraft installations and operations, human-systems interface design, aircraft digital data buses and protocols, analog and digital system interfaces and modern aircraft system architecture
Experienced in the development of avionics architecture, requirements, hardware or software design, and/or system verification
Working knowledge of industry airworthiness standards and regulations, including FARs and Regulatory Guidance, assurance standards and methods: DO-160, DO-254, DO-178 and/or ARP 4754
Certification experience to industry processes STC, TC, and TSO
Skilled in requirements management, and experience with DOORS
Model Based Design experience is a plus
