Scientific Product Advisor

Responsibilities

Guide less-experienced members of the team
Ensure adherence to organizational information security policies and procedures; actively participate in mandatory security awareness training; and manage confidential and sensitive information in accordance with company protocols and data protection standards

Required

Bachelor's degree in a technical field (e.g., Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology)
4+ years of experience in quality assurance, scientific analysis, scientific lifecycle management or related lifecycle management role
2+ years of experience developing or integrating software for scientific applications (preferably Fortran/C/C++ in a Linux environment) to assess algorithm complexity and required effort
Demonstrated experience with quality management systems, risk assessments, and lifecycle documentation
Proficiency in data analysis tools and scientific software
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to translate complex scientific findings into clear recommendations
Strong attention to detail, planning, and organizational skills
Ability to obtain a security clearance (Public Trust, Secret, or higher, depending on contract)

Preferred

Familiarity with scientific data formats
Scripting language experience (Python preferred)
Experience with Software Configuration Management (SCM) tools
Understanding of Agile life cycle processes and DevOps methodologies, including CI/CD concepts and practices
Certification in Quality (e.g., ASQ Certified Quality Auditor, Certified Quality Engineer) or Project Management (e.g., PMP, CAPM)
