Network Engineer Senior
The Christ Hospital Health Network is seeking a Senior Network Engineer responsible for the design, deployment, monitoring, maintenance, operations, and optimization of the TCH WAN & LAN infrastructure. This role includes troubleshooting network issues, mentoring junior staff, and managing network performance and documentation.

Responsibilities
Designs, deploys, configures, and operates new or existing WAN / LAN infrastructure device(s) and supporting software across the enterprise. Includes all LANs, WANs, wireless networks, network servers, routers, switches, UPS’s, etc. Ensures proper network connectivity of all sites for servers, workstations, telephone equipment, fax machines, other network appliances, and end points
Research and study relevant network technologies and uses that knowledge to develop and document Network Technology Roadmaps and new solutions
Troubleshoots advanced & complex network related problem areas and issues as needed to resolve operational issues and restore/optimize services
Proactively manage standards, topology documentation, configuration files, performance baselines, and capacity planning roadmaps for network infrastructure
Troubleshoot routing, L2 Switching, remote access, internet access, 802.1x, Wireless, and firewall rules
Configure Routers, routing protocols, switches, ACI, MSO
Configure firewalls, network segmentation, jump hosts, remote access, and Cisco ISE. Validate change requests and ensure accuracy
Provide technical resource services for Information Technology network and network security projects
Manage, oversee, and audit Firewall & Access Management rules
Data Center security designs using software defined networking
Equipment delivery, staging, and installation of network & network security equipment
Monitors network performance to determine whether adjustments need to be made, and to determine where changes will need to be made in the future. Recommends changes to improve systems and network configurations and determine hardware or software requirements related to such changes
Creates diagrams and supporting documentation for all sites and services. Reviews documents created by other Network Engineers
Participate in Change Management regularly; to include being an active participate during Change Advisory Board (CAB) meetings
Maintain knowledge of networking related topics, including emerging technologies, industry best practices, and regulatory/compliance related concerns
Participates in managing all data center and network security solutions
Mentors, trains, and provides guidance to Junior or other Senior Network Engineers and Analysts to foster team growth & improve overall technical knowledge of the team
Other duties as assigned by the Manager, Network Technology Services
Positive Financial impact by assisting with defining and managing annual Capital and OpX budgets including 3 to 5 year roadmap spends. Assist in cost containment and identifying lower costs solutions
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's Degree required or equivalent experience
8 year's minimum experience in a multi-site network environment
Should present well-defined leadership qualities; the ability to be tactful, exercise magnanimity amongst the team and practice openness to other's ideas and culture
Possess good written and verbal skills needed to present to all demographics at the hospital, and across all mediums
Ability to design repeatable, reliable, and scalable network architectures with fault tolerance, performance tuning, monitoring systems, statistics/metrics collection, and disaster recovery
Multiple successful implementations of (including the ability to design, configure, upgrade, manage, and troubleshoot) Cisco ACI / MSO or equivalent DC technologies, Cisco Route & Switch IOS designs, WLAN access points and controllers, Cisco Firepower / ASA or equivalent, and Cisco ISE
Expert level knowledge in 2 of the 4 areas of Cisco WAN/LAN topologies, including routing protocols, SDN, NextGen FW, and wireless
Advanced network troubleshooting skills including debugs, routing topology tables, software defined networking, 802.1x authentication, Layer 2 switching & VPC's
Must have knowledge of networking features and protocols such as spanning tree, ARP, CDP, EIGRP, OSPF, BGP, VPLS, DMVPN, Etherchannel, 802.1Q trunking, QoS, Multicast, 802.11, CAPWAP, 802.1X, EAP, IPsec, RADIUS/TACACS+, SNMP
Experience with network management tools & technology such as Sniffers (Wireshark), Logic Monitor, Cisco Prime Infrastructure, DNA Center, and Live Action
Experience supporting Large Scale Cisco Network environments
Team player mentality and willingness to share knowledge with other team members
The candidate must have the technical skills and integrity to meet and exceed customer expectations
Preferred
Cisco CCNA/CCST//CCNP/CCDP or other Cisco Professional-level certifications are preferred. CCIE a bonus
Other relevant Industry Level certifications are a bonus. (CompTia Network+, JNCIA-Junos, ACMA, VCTA-NV)
