Responsibilities
Lead and facilitate all Scrum ceremonies, including:
Sprint Planning
Daily Stand-ups
Sprint Reviews
Retrospectives
Backlog Refinement
Promote and reinforce Agile values, principles, and best practices
Support the Product Owner with backlog organization, prioritization, and user story clarity
Protect the team from distractions and external interruptions
Coach teams and individuals on Agile adoption and continuous improvement
Work with multiple Scrum teams simultaneously, as needed
Identify, track, and help remove impediments
Encourage data-driven decisions using Agile metrics such as velocity, burndown charts, and throughput
Foster a positive, collaborative, and accountable team culture
Facilitate communication across cross-functional teams (Miami, India, management)
Monitor sprint progress, ensure delivery timelines are met, and escalate risks when needed
Collaborate with stakeholders on quarterly and annual roadmaps
Ensure the team’s deliverables meet quality and business expectations
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or a related field, or equivalent work experience
5+ years of hands-on Agile/Scrum experience as a Scrum Master
Strong understanding of Agile frameworks (Scrum, Kanban) and SDLC
Proficiency in Jira and/or Azure DevOps
Proven experience leading cross-functional development teams
Excellent facilitation, communication, and conflict-resolution skills
Ability to work effectively with distributed teams across multiple time zones
Servant-leader mindset with strong coaching abilities
Preferred
Agile-related certifications, such as:
Certified Scrum Master (CSM) – Scrum Alliance
Professional Scrum Master (PSM I/II) – Scrum.org
SAFe Scrum Master (SSM) – Scaled Agile
PMI-ACP (Agile Certified Practitioner) – PMI
Experience delivering software, applications, or digital products
Knowledge of additional Agile tools (Trello, Asana, etc.)
Experience coaching organizations during Agile transformations
