Responsibilities
Reconcile daily loan servicing transactions, including payments, payoffs, and adjustments, with cash receipts to ensure accuracy
Process borrower payments and updates related to interest, escrow, and adjustments within the servicing system
Investigate and resolve discrepancies in cash reconciliation processes promptly
Prepare and review monthly investor remittance reports, ensuring data accuracy and compliance
Conduct financial modeling to calculate interest charges and disbursements for warehouse lending operations
Analyze loan sale trade terms and reconcile them with system data and third-party servicer records
Perform quality control checks on servicing records across internal and external systems to maintain data integrity
Update internal systems with escrow balance changes and insurance-related transactions executed by third-party providers
Develop and implement internal controls to enhance the accuracy of cash flow reporting and loan accounts
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field
2-4 years of experience in loan servicing, cash operations, or investor reporting with a focus on detail-oriented tasks
Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, including financial modeling, pivot tables, and complex formulas
Strong analytical abilities with a proven track record in problem-solving
Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in financial data management
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, particularly for investor reporting
Ability to prioritize tasks effectively and meet demanding deadlines
Familiarity with Google Sheets and ad hoc financial analysis tools
