Responsibilities
Set up and run horizontal & vertical machining centers for production and prototype work
Read prints and apply GD&T; follow written and verbal instructions from engineering/supervision
Edit/optimize G‑code and suggest program improvements at the machine
Conduct at‑machine “First Piece” inspection of all checkable features; adjust as needed, then submit for First Article approval
Capture accurate job times in the ERP system and coordinate with production planning
Use pin gages, micrometers, calipers, and other hand metrology for in‑process checks
Practice Good Machining Practices (GMP), sustain 5S, and follow all safety procedures
Collaborate cross‑functionally with engineering, manufacturing, and leadership to drive process improvements
Qualification
Required
5 years of CNC machining experience, with proven machine set‑ups for production runs
Proficiency in G‑code, CNC tooling, GD&T interpretation, and blueprint reading
Experience with: CNC Mill (3–4 axis VMC) — Mazak, Haas, Doosan; CNC Lathe (2–4 axis) — Mazak
Competency performing in‑process inspections using standard precision tools
Full personal tool kit appropriate for CNC set‑ups and operations
Education: High School Diploma (or equivalent). Completion of an accredited, indentured apprenticeship or high school plus a 2‑year technical school is preferred
Language: English required
