This role supports production and testing operations for moderately complex instruments, performing assembly, system analysis, functional testing, and troubleshooting to ensure quality standards are met.

Responsibilities
Perform production assembly and complete system-level instrument testing
Conduct basic electrical, mechanical, and software troubleshooting on test equipment
Analyze test results to determine pass/fail status and recommend solutions
Optimize system performance, including precision movement and light systems
Identify defects and recommend design or process improvements
Read and interpret drawings, work instructions, and workmanship standards
Provide training and technical guidance to associates as needed
Support Manufacturing Engineering, Quality, Planning, and Purchasing teams
Process and disposition quality notifications (QNs)
Perform material handling for raw materials and sub-assemblies
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
Follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), safety, and quality procedures
Participate in Continuous Improvement and Lean Manufacturing initiatives
Work overtime as required to meet business needs
Perform additional duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
High School Diploma or GED (verifiable) required
Commitment to mandatory attendance during the first 90 days
3.5+ years of manufacturing experience in lieu of Associate's Degree
Experience supporting testing of moderately complex instruments
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
Knowledge of mechanical tools (torque drivers, gauges, bits, etc.)
Ability to read drawings, measure dimensions, and interpret specifications
Ability to manage multiple production orders and shifting priorities
Strong attention to quality and compliance standards
Ability to work effectively in a team environment
Commitment to Continuous Improvement and Lean Manufacturing principles
Proficient in English (reading, writing, and basic math)
Basic PC skills and familiarity with Windows-based systems
Strong analytical and mathematical abilities
Ability to work independently and make sound decisions
Strong communication and leadership skills
Preferred
Associate's Degree (AA) in a technical field with relevant skills preferred
