Assisting in preparing soil plots to include watering, weeding, transplanting, and assisting with laboratory and bioinformatics work
Assisting in working extensively in greenhouse and field with grafting cucumbers, to include germination, transplanting seedlings, pasture and crop maintenance, harvesting, etc
Performing other duties as assigned by Supervisor
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in an applicable field
Must be enrolled as a full-time graduate student at Prairie View A&M University. (Minimum of 9 credit hours during the regular fall and spring semesters and 6 semester credit hours for the summer semester)
Must be in good academic standing
Preferred
Must have basic knowledge of plants, greenhouse, and farm operations
Must be proficient in operating light equipment such as lawnmower, tiller, and weed eaters
Must be willing to work with plants in the field
Must have a strong background in Chemistry and some knowledge of bioinformatics software
