Hourly - Cybersecurity Communications Assistant

Responsibilities
Assist in creating and editing content for newsletters, websites, social media, and training materials focused on cybersecurity awareness
Help design marketing materials such as flyers, posters, and digital graphics for security campaigns
Assist with planning and logistics for cybersecurity conferences and departmental events (virtual and in-person)
Help manage registration lists, prepare presentation materials, and coordinate with vendors and track engagement metrics
Provide on-site or virtual support during events
Help organize and distribute cybersecurity awareness materials
Assist with scheduling and tracking training sessions and track engagement metrics
Support phishing simulation campaigns and reporting
Maintain SharePoint and Teams sites with updated content
Provide support for communications and event projects as needed
Qualification
Required
High school diploma
Completion of at least 30 credit hours of higher education or may substitute one year of related experience for 30 credit hours
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks
Preferred
College degree is preferred
Experience with basic graphic design tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe Creative Suite)
Interest in cybersecurity and technology
Event planning or coordination experience
