Responsibilities

To aid the migration, roll-out, and expansion of our comprehensive data catalog and our new Library Services Platform (LSP), interns will tackle metadata projects in line with national, international, and local standards. This work may include: metadata maintenance; crafting draft records; and developing quality checks among systems
To bolster workflow efficiencies, interns will conduct task analysis and workflow documentation to identify automation opportunities, document processes and code, and work with internal AI technology as appropriate
To enable discovery, interoperability, and process efficiencies in our catalogs and other discovery systems, interns will support the development and maintenance of taxonomy and authority control by working on the Federal Reserve Subject Taxonomy (FRST) and Federal Reserve Authority of Names (FRAN). Depending on need, projects may also address researcher identifiers (ORCID) and DOI metadata through Crossref
To develop innovative tools for self-service and encourage use of these tools by our stakeholders, interns will build select resource guides, conduct annual review of library website content, and develop instructional materials related to the Library Services Platform transition, as well as raise awareness of library services
