Co-lead medium-long range financial forecasting for Rare Disease, ensuring robust scenario planning and clear direction for investment and resource allocation
Deliver the Long Term Plan by connecting scientific progress and portfolio dynamics to commercial outcomes, partnering with R&D and Global Portfolio Analytics to align assumptions and milestones
Partner with Therapeutic Area Commercial Leads to manage financial performance, challenge assumptions, and drive target delivery across markets
Streamline reporting and fortify analytical capabilities to support a rapidly evolving business model, deploying sophisticated solutions and automation that leverage the latest technology and AI models for speed and precision
Prepare complex analytical and driver-based models that deepen business understanding and measurably improve forecast accuracy and cycle time
Serve as process owner for Rare Disease Quarterly Business Review, equipping the CEO and senior leaders with crisp, data-backed insights for external earnings communications
Deliver regular, concise financial performance updates to Senior Leadership, Enterprise FP&A, and Group Finance that translate data into action
Work with Global Finance Services to define essential PowerBI dashboards for decision-making and manage the Anaplan forecasting tool to streamline planning and reporting
Drive mid-month and outturn forecast exercises; rigorously assess and challenge key revenue assumptions from therapy areas and regions to maintain credibility and agility
Manage deliverables from the Costa Rica Center of Excellence, ensuring speed, quality, and alignment to business expectations
Own the Global Marketing and Market Access financial budget and monthly cost performance; partner with business leaders to optimize spend and impact
Consolidate monthly commentaries, explain business variances, and systematically identify risks and opportunities versus budget to inform actions
Discover, evaluate, and implement AI solutions that elevate analytics and insight generation; integrate financial data with external sources to maintain high quality standards and accelerate decisions

Required

Co-Lead together with the Director of Global Commercial FP&A, the Global Rare Disease Therapy Area medium-long range financial forecasting
Deliver Long Term Plan (LTP) while leveraging key partnerships within R&D and Global Portfolio Analytics
Partner with Therapeutic Area Commercial Leads to manage financial performance and target delivery
Streamline and improve reporting and analytical ability to support rapidly changing business structure and environment, utilizing sophisticated solutions and automation utilizing latest technology and AI models
Prepare complex analytical models to support deeper business understanding and improved forecast accuracy
Process owner for Rare Disease Quarterly Business Review (QBR) to prepare CEO for external earnings release
Deliver regular financial performance briefings to Senior Leadership team, Enterprise Financial Planning and Analytics and AZ Group Finance
Work closely with GFS to determine the essential analytical dashboards in PowerBI required to support business decision and manage Anaplan forecasting tool to streamline forecasting and reporting
Drive the mid-month and Outturn forecast exercise, understanding and challenging the key assumptions used to determine the latest revenue forecast provided by the TAs and Regions
Manage the key deliverables from our Center of Excellence in Costa Rica (GFS-Global Finance Services) aligned with business expectations
Responsible for the GMMA (Global Marketing and Market Access) financial budget and monthly cost performance, working closely with the GMMA Business Leaders
Work closely with the Global Commercial Finance TA Leaders to consolidate monthly commentaries and explanations of business variances and identify periodically risk & opportunities vs budget
Discover, investigate, and implement AI solutions that directly influence business analytics and insights, enabling faster and more informed decision-making. Ensure the effective use of financial data and integrate it with external sources to maintain high quality standards

Preferred

Track record leading global commercial FP&A forecasting cycles, including LTP, mid-month, and outturn processes
Advanced proficiency with Anaplan model building and PowerBI (including DAX) to create executive-ready dashboards
Experience applying AI/ML techniques in finance to automate data pipelines, enhance forecasting, and accelerate insights
Proven success partnering with R&D, Portfolio Analytics, and Commercial leaders across multiple regions and therapy areas
Executive-grade communication skills with experience preparing CEO-level materials and external earnings support
Background in biopharma or healthcare markets; rare disease exposure a plus
Experience overseeing Center of Excellence or shared services teams; Spanish language skills beneficial
Professional qualifications such as MBA, CPA, or CFA valued
