Responsibilities
Collaborate with project managers and sponsors to determine project scope and vision
Conduct workshops, interviews and product analysis to gather comprehensive user requirements
Translate conceptual user requirements into detailed functional requirements and technical specifications that include business rules, data logic, and system constraints
Create process models, specifications, diagrams (Sequence, ERD, Data Flow), and charts to provide clear technical direction to developers and the project team
Develop wireframes and prototypes of interfaces and attributes to validate design feasibility
Analyze and verify requirements for completeness, consistency, comprehensibility, feasibility, and conformity to industry standards
Work with stakeholders and the project team to prioritize collected requirements based on business value, technical feasibility
Manage and track the status of requirements throughout the project lifecycle; enforce, redefine, and update specifications as necessary to reflect project changes
Establish practices and procedures for the continuous improvement of the requirements process, analyzing existing workflows and developing enhancement strategies
Maintain a Traceability Matrix to ensure all business requirements are mapped to technical specs and eventual test cases
Communicate changes and enhancements – both verbally and through formal documentation to ensure continuous alignment between business and IT
Develop and utilize standard templates to ensure consistent, high-quality documentation across the organization
Take an active role in cross-departmental projects when needed, ensuring cohesive communication and alignment across different business units
Ensure that established standards are maintained and adhered to throughout the development process
Collaboratively implement new standards or modifications through a planned and structured process
Contribute to the pre-testing phase by evaluating proposals and technical designs to identify potential problem areas and provide strategic recommendations
Evaluate, plan, and deploy testing techniques (System, Unit, Regression, Load, and UAT) throughout the development lifecycle
Create and execute rigorous test scripts and scenarios based on both functional and technical specifications
Analyze formal test results to discover and resolve defects, bugs, configuration issues, and interoperability flaws
Ensure that any new software integrations meet functional requirements, system compliance, and interface specifications
Communicate test progress, results, and critical quality metrics to stakeholders; produce detailed reports for management visibility
Cultivate and disseminate knowledge of application-testing best practices across the organization
Conduct or assist in user training, including developing training guidelines and documenting setup requirements
Provide software support and troubleshooting as needed during and after the deployment phase
Research software/hardware products to justify recommendations for system enhancements

Required
Bachelor's Degree in the field of Computer Science, Information Systems, or Business Administration
5+ years of related work experience in system/business analysis and testing
Extensive experience with core software applications and a deep understanding of the SDLC
Proven experience with business and technical requirements analysis, elicitation, modeling (UML, ERD), and methodology development
Ability to create systematic and consistent technical specifications and data-driven diagrams for developer guidance
Logical and efficient, with keen attention to detail and excellent creative problem-solving skills
Able to exercise independent judgment and take decisive action on analysis and system issues
Excellent understanding of the organization's goals and objectives, ensuring IT initiatives align with business value
Proven experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment, supporting cross-departmental projects
Exceptional ability to translate technical jargon into user-friendly language and vice versa to ensure mutual understanding
Excellent listening, interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills
Ability to write clear and concise user documentation, training materials and setup requirements
Strong customer service orientation and the ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks while under pressure
