Responsibilities
Month-end close: prepare and post journal entries in a coordinated effort with the Controller
Balance sheet reconciliations: maintain tight standards to enhance visibility over risks and opportunities
Inventory and cost management: monthly inventory valuation, reserve calculation, periodic cycle counts, and manufacturing variances
Treasury and cash management: provide visibility for outgoing payments
Audit: support the annual audit engagement, including document compilation and maintenance of rollforwards and schedules
Tax: support annual income tax engagement
Internal Controls: ensure compliance with company policies and procedures
Special projects: support acquisition accounting integrations, reporting automation, SOP implementation, and ad-hoc analysis
Lead transformation communication and gatekeeping for the businesses finance automation and AI initiatives
Responsible for cross-functional communication, translating functional area needs, managing and reinforcing timelines, requests, and deadlines
Partner cross-functionally to drive adoption of standardized finance automation processes across group and division operations
Partner with key finance, project, and IT stakeholders to communicate and update automation strategy timelines, ensuring consistent execution
Track, measure, and evaluate implementation and success stages of automation process automation and improvement initiatives
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance
4+ years of progressive accounting experience
Advanced Excel proficiency and proven competency working with various software & ERP systems
Thorough understanding of connection between transactions, GL accounts, and placement within financial statements
BSBA in Accounting, Finance, or related business degree
4 years of progressive corporate FP&A experience gained from a mid-large sized global organization
2 years of experience supporting or executing finance automation or transformation projects
Demonstrated root-cause analysis and process mapping skills
Ability to understand and identify connections, potential roadblocks or issues between project deliverables, timelines, and objectives
Experience working in cross-functional roles and managing multiple projects
Proven ability to summarize and effectively communicate information to different audiences
