Responsibilities
Perform production assembly operations, system analysis, testing, and performance optimization
Conduct basic electrical, mechanical, or software troubleshooting on non-functioning test equipment
Analyze test results and determine pass/fail outcomes; provide solutions when failures occur
Build, integrate, and understand full instrument assembly processes
Perform functional and release testing on moderately complex instruments
Identify defects and recommend design or process improvements
Read and interpret drawings, work instructions, and workmanship standards
Provide training and support to associates as needed
Support Manufacturing Engineering, Quality, Planning, and Purchasing teams
Process and disposition Quality Notifications (QNs)
Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment in compliance with GMP
Perform standard material handling functions for raw materials and sub-assemblies
Follow all BD safety, housekeeping, and quality policies
Work overtime as required to meet business needs
Perform other related duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
High School Diploma or GED
3.5 years of manufacturing experience OR an AA technical degree with relevant skills
Strong mechanical aptitude and knowledge of mechanical tools (torque drivers, gauges, bits, etc.)
Ability to read drawings and measure dimensions accurately
Strong analytical, math, and problem-solving skills
Ability to manage multiple production orders and frequent assignment changes
Ability to work effectively in a team environment
Basic PC skills and familiarity with a Windows environment
Attendance is mandatory for the first 90 days
Preferred
Demonstrated leadership ability with experience mentoring or training others
Experience supporting Continuous Improvement and Lean Manufacturing initiatives
