The Self-Perform Carpentry Project Engineer will assist with estimating and project management, focusing on creating quantitative estimates and managing projects from setup through closeout to ensure client satisfaction.

Responsibilities
Create quantity take-offs from construction documents
Price labor productions using project specific knowledge & department standard rates
Solicit material and subcontractors for bids
Create narrative proposal with breakouts for each estimate within standard deliverable
Follows up on opportunities and customer relations as needed
Contributes to team effort by accomplishing team goals
Prepare and manage material submittals and procurement logs
Effectively control new & updated documents (drawings/specs/RFI's/etc.), distribute to appropriate stakeholders
Establish job cost budgets and track progress in field
Manage monthly billing process
Understands and can identify scope & impact of changes as it relates to the project
Manage standardized change order log
Resolve all open change order requests with GC project team
Reconcile change orders with tier-subcontractors
Qualification
Required
University degree
Strong, hands-on knowledge of PC/ Microsoft systems
