Serve as the Engineer of Record for transportation projects
Oversee quality control and prepare detailed designs and specifications for roadway and highway projects
Coordinate with state DOTs, municipalities, and regulatory agencies
Manage project schedules and budgets effectively
Engage in business development by assisting with client coordination and proposal preparation
Mentor junior engineering staff
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in civil engineering from an ABET-accredited program
Current Professional Engineer (PE) license
Ability to secure North Dakota licensure through reciprocity
Minimum of six years of progressive experience in transportation civil engineering, particularly with state DOTs, including the North Dakota Department of Transportation (NDDOT)
Strong project management skills, inclusive of scope, schedule, and budget oversight
Proficiency in transportation design software such as Autodesk Civil 3D, Microstation, or OpenRoads Designer
Effective written and verbal communication skills for successful interaction with clients, agencies, and internal teams
Keen interest in supporting business development initiatives
Familiarity with DOT standards
