Responsibilities
Implement and maintain erosion and sediment control measures to comply with environmental and regulatory standards
Regularly inspect retention ponds, swales, slopes, and drainage systems to ensure proper performance
Coordinate seasonal maintenance and repairs to prevent washouts, erosion, or flooding
Oversee grading, graveling, dust control, and pothole repair for internal roadways
Develop and manage a preventive maintenance program for roads, parking areas, and laydown zones
Coordinate snow removal, vegetation trimming, and general site upkeep activities
Direct landscaping crews or contractors to maintain clean, professional, and safe site grounds
Manage mowing, trimming, seasonal planting, and irrigation systems
Qualification
Required
5+ years in civil construction, site maintenance, or facilities operations (preferably in data center, industrial, or energy sectors)
Strong understanding of grading, drainage, erosion control, concrete work, utility mapping, and excavation safety
Ability to read and interpret civil/structural drawings and as-builts; proficient in maintaining underground utility maps and permitting records; strong contractor coordination and scheduling abilities; excellent documentation and communication skills
Valid driver's license; ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
Highly organized and detail-oriented
Safety-first mindset, especially regarding excavation and utility protection
Strong sense of ownership and accountability
Comfortable balancing hands-on fieldwork with planning, permitting, and coordination
Collaborative, works well with multiple departments and contractors
Preferred
Stormwater/Erosion Control certification; OSHA 30 or equivalent construction safety; Excavation Competent Person or Utility Locator certification
