Responsibilities
Perform drafting projects for multiple utility client programs, supporting electric distribution & transmission design
Interpret construction documents to compile relevant information for electric designs
Create and develop drawing packages for bidding, construction, as-built, and submittal purpose
Participate in the quality assurance/quality control program to deliver industry-leading design products
Develop knowledge of industry standards or codes
Collaborate with engineers and managers in service lines to leverage the provide support
Work independently with minimal direction as a highly motivated self-starter
Qualification
Required
High School Education Required
AA/AS/BS degree in Computer-Aided Design (CAD) software, Engineering Technology, or related technical training or certifications
Proficiency in AutoCAD, AutoCAD Electrical and/or AutoCAD Civil 3D
5-10 years of industry-related CAD design experience
Extensive and thorough knowledge of engineering design for service line, including AutoCAD Civil3D and Bentley MicroStation
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Willingness to travel up to 5%
Must possess a valid driver's license
Preferred
Ideal candidates will have a background in drafting, supporting electrical infrastructure
Familiarity with land survey techniques and coordinate reference systems is highly desired
Advanced knowledge of other applicable design software
Familiarity with field techniques for construction of electrical infrastructure
