Capital Projects Manager

The Capital Project Manager is responsible for the strategic and operational development and expansion of company facilities across North and South America, acting as the Owner’s Representative for major capital projects and ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget.

Responsibilities

Partner with leadership to develop long-term facility strategies that support business growth and operational excellence
Conduct feasibility studies and site evaluations for new locations and expansions
Align capital projects with sustainability, safety, and regulatory requirements
Act as the primary point of contact for all stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle
Represent the company’s interests during design, construction, and commissioning phases
Ensure adherence to project scope, quality standards, and contractual obligations
Lead planning, budgeting, scheduling, and resource allocation for capital projects
Oversee architectural and engineering design processes to ensure functionality and compliance
Manage construction activities, including contractor selection, contract administration, and performance monitoring
Coordinate commissioning and handover of facilities to operations teams
Develop and manage capital budgets, forecasts, and cost-control measures
Identify and mitigate project risks, ensuring compliance with building codes, environmental regulations, and safety standards
Lead effort to secure available investment incentives (federal, state, local)
Communicate project status, milestones, and risks to executive leadership and cross-functional teams
Foster collaboration between internal departments, external vendors, and regulatory agencies

Required

Bachelor's degree or higher, ideally within the scope of Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or related fields
Equivalent educational background to be verified
Must have 7+ years of Project and Leadership experience in facilities development and capital project management
Proven track record managing large-scale projects from site selection through commissioning
Strong knowledge of building codes, permitting processes, and sustainability practices
Demonstrated ability to manage complex projects with multiple stakeholders
Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills
Familiarity with U.S. regulatory requirements and permitting processes
