Required

Actively enrolled in a Ph.D. program in Mechanical Engineering focusing on flow diagnostics

B.S. in Mechanical Engineering

Experience in MATLAB, CAD (SolidWorks)

Experience in technical writing, presentations

Preferred

Experience in developing novel variations of Focused Laser Differential Interferometry (FLDI) for high-density flow imaging in aerospace applications

Experience in integrating simultaneous FLDI and Tunable Diode Laser Absorption Spectroscopy (TDLAS) systems to measure local density fluctuations and absorption in hypersonic flows

Experience in analyzing data with MATLAB scripts for image processing, including background subtraction, frame averaging, Gaussian blurring, and Power Spectral Density (PSD) calculations
