Quality Inspector Specialist

Responsibilities

Inspect component and assembled parts
Must be able to read and understand assembly instructions
Read and understand Drawings and Technical data packages
Preform Internal AS9100 audits
Write Non-conformance and start investigation to root cause
Lead or participate in 5S activities
Instruct technicians on proper installation assembly and techniques

Qualification

Required

Candidate must possess a High School diploma/GED with a minimum of 3-5 years of relevant Quality Inspection experience
Must have experience in leading operations or teams in completing tasks
Must be able to solve complex problems, relate with other team's members, and communicate with other levels of management
Must have knowledge and understanding when reading and interpreting drawings
Must have knowledge of how to efficiently use micrometers, height gages, gage blocks, radius gages, and calipers etc
Must have IPC certification
Experience in an ISO9001/AS9100 manufacturing environment
Candidate must be able to populate handwritten or computer-generated inspection reports
Candidates must have Computer Skills and can use computer software such as Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, etc
Applicants must be able to work full-time with minimal supervision and adjust priorities based on workflow
Must be willing to travel to customer sites to perform quality inspections
Must be able to lift and carry up to 35 lbs
Candidate must be a resident of the North Alabama area or willing to relocate to the Huntsville - North Alabama, AL area
Candidate must be a US Citizen and possess (and be able to maintain) a Secret Clearance

Preferred

Experience with Government contract and SOW interpretation
Knowledge of FAR and DFAR regulations
Previous auditing experience
