Quality Control Technician

The Quality Control Technician will perform material testing, support asphalt and aggregate production, and ensure quality standards are met across a variety of projects.

Responsibilities

Perform sampling, testing, and reporting of results for aggregates, hot mix asphalt, and compacted asphalt cores
Assist with laboratory work for materials from asphalt plants, paving operations, aggregate sites, and other supply locations
Conduct lab testing in multiple environments, including field labs, production facilities, and project sites
Enter results into reporting systems and communicate findings to the Quality Control team
Assist with duties and project support as assigned by supervisors

Required

Perform sampling, testing, and reporting of results for aggregates, hot mix asphalt, and compacted asphalt cores
Assist with laboratory work for materials from asphalt plants, paving operations, aggregate sites, and other supply locations
Conduct lab testing in multiple environments, including field labs, production facilities, and project sites
Enter results into reporting systems and communicate findings to the Quality Control team
Assist with duties and project support as assigned by supervisors
Work outdoors in a variety of weather conditions
Walk, bend, kneel, lift, stretch, and sit for extended periods
Lift and carry up to 50 lbs
Regularly work extended or overtime hours depending on project needs
Travel throughout Central & Western Minnesota, Northern Iowa, and the Eastern Dakotas
Organized, detail-oriented individuals who can work independently
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Math proficiency and computer software skills
Understanding of testing procedures and ability to record accurate data
Awareness of MSHA/OSHA regulations and PPE requirements
Commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement
Willingness to travel and work extended hours during the construction season
