Start in 2026 SummerGeneral Dynamics Electric Boat is proud to offer an 8-week paid internship for high school students interested in Shipyard Operations and Metal Trades at our Groton facility. This program provides a unique opportunity for students to gain hands-on experience and technical knowledge within the shipbuilding industry.

Responsibilities
Interns will work under the guidance of a trained mentor from their respective union
Interns will learn to use various tools and equipment essential to Groton Operations
Opportunities to observe production processes and interact with skilled employees across departments
Qualification
Required
Must complete your junior year of High School by June 2026
Must be 16 years of age or older
Must be a U.S. Citizen
Interns will become employees of Electric Boat and union members for the duration of their summer internship
Must meet Electric Boat employment requirements, including medical screening and a hair follicle drug test
Must be available to work eight consecutive weeks; June 29, 2026 - August 21, 2026
