Bumble Bee Foods is a 125-year-old fishing company focused on seafood procurement and sustainability. The Procurement Intern will support the team with sourcing activities, cost management, and invoice processing while gaining hands-on experience in global seafood procurement operations.

Responsibilities

Support the Procurement team with day-to-day sourcing and procurement activities
Assist with cost tracking, cost analysis, and cost management related to procurement
Process, review, and reconcile supplier invoices in SAP, ensuring accuracy and compliance
Coordinate with internal stakeholders (Procurement, Sustainability, Operations) to resolve invoice or pricing discrepancies
Support supplier communications, including coordination with Spanish-speaking vendors
Assist with documentation, reporting, and data entry related to procurement activities
Participate in special projects related to sourcing strategy, supplier performance, or process improvement

Required

Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Aquaculture, Business or a related field
Fluency in Spanish (written and verbal) required
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with professionalism
Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and basic data analysis
Interest in procurement, sourcing, and global supply chain operations
Willingness and ability to travel internationally up to 20% as required

Preferred

Exposure to SAP or other ERP systems
Prior internship or coursework related to procurement, supply chain, or finance
Strong communication skills and ability to work in a cross-functional, multicultural environment
Manage and utilize AI-enabled tools to support business reporting, data analysis, and decision-making
