Responsibilities
Accountable for architecture and design documentation and review of IT initiatives
Accountable for the quality of technical decisions and governance
Proficient in creating strategies and standards regarding proper use and application of cloud best practices, design principles and technologies
Act as the SME for all aspects of infrastructure implementations in multi-tenant AWS and/or Azure environments
Proficient in designing, managing and deploying infrastructure as code using tools such as Terraform, Cloud Formation Templates, etc
Identify and Implement opportunities for automation, be capable of designing solutions using AWS, Azure tooling or by using automation platforms such as N8N
Collaborate across teams to meet project goals. This will include working with developers, IT security, and other IT teams across the organization
Design and document processes and procedures to ensure the compute, storage and network cloud environments are operating efficiently and in line with best practices
Identify and become proficient in emerging technologies needed to provide visionary service and support for customers
Troubleshoot, remediate, and perform root-cause analysis on systems ranging from compute, storage, Exchange/O365, Active Directory, Windows/Linux Servers and other related technologies
Provide technical guidance and leadership with several domains of technical solutions such as Virtualized/Cloud-based environments, business intelligence, COTS analysis and selection
Maintain security, backup, and redundancy strategies
Manage and monitor all installed infrastructure systems
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's Degree Req
8-10 years of experience in the field or related area or possess an equivalent combination of education and experience. Required
5 years of experience architecting and implementing cloud solutions in AWS and/or Azure. Required
5 years of Windows and Linux Service experience Required
3 years of virtualization experience, VMWare preferred. Required
2 years of experience producing enterprise guidelines and standards
Proven ability to configure and support Azure, AWS, and VMware infrastructure and services
Ability to articulate technical information to non-technical audience
Ability to manage and prioritize work -- both project based and day-to-day operations
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Experienced in supporting production data center environments
Knowledge and understanding of concepts of DHCP, DNS, load balancing, scripting, SMTP, server clustering, GFS backup methodology, RBAC and ITIL methodologies
Strong knowledge of Active Directory in a multi-forest / multi-domain environment
Enterprise storage technologies
Preferred
