Business Proposal Director
Oracle is a world leader in cloud solutions, and they are seeking a Business Proposal Director to participate in new business development. The role involves managing a skilled team and overseeing the planning, development, and production of written responses to competitive solicitations from clients and prospects.

Responsibilities
Develops plans within the proposal team to implement organizational policy and to meet business objectives
Manages a highly skilled team of proposal management professionals
Interfaces with the highest levels of sales management within the organization
Recruitment, selection, coaching and development of staff
Assign Proposal Manager for the specific proposal efforts
Establish proposal quality guidelines, establish proposal quality controls and standards
Develop, maintain, and utilize automated proposal management and reporting tools
Assist with organizational growth and development aligned with strategic goals and objectives
Direct employee performance and development
Manages budget and expenses
Routinely monitor work produced by team
Provide proposal process training
Assist sales organizations in all aspects of proposal capture planning, preparation management and production management
Qualification
Required
10+ years of extensive industry experience working on complex (Government/Commercial) proposals
Complete understanding of industry standard proposal management processes
Ability to understand strategic goals and objectives of the organization and apply them to the proposal organization
Experience interfacing with senior management within Oracle and external organizations
Participation in high-level account discussions of strategy and capture planning
Leadership and guidance to less experienced staff
Contribution to proposal infrastructure and enablement strategy
Bachelor's or Master's degree
Excellent verbal communication, interpersonal and writing skills
Experience using tools such as Adobe Acrobat, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Ability to handle multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
Flexible, team-oriented attitude
5+ years of direct managerial experience
