Chicago Transit Authority is the second largest transit system in the country! They are seeking a Summer 2026 HR Compensation Partner Intern to conduct job analysis, assist with benchmarking preparations, and document findings within the Human Resources department's Compensation unit.

Responsibilities

Conduct job analysis by reviewing existing job descriptions, organizational charts, and operational documentation to identify gaps our outdated content
Partner with compensation staff and department leaders to validate job duties, scope, through structured discussions and follow analysis
Assist with benchmarking preparations by aligning job descriptions to market matches to understand how job content impacts compensation placement
Document findings, track progress, against milestones, and present summary insights to the Compensation team and stakeholders

Required

Full-time enrollment status in a degree program at an accredited college or university
Strong Microsoft Office and computer skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Good analytical and critical thinking skills
Proficient organizational skills with attention to detail
Good project management skills
Excellent video editing skills
Strong problem solving skills
Knowledge of Human Resources laws, regulations, and best practices

Preferred

Preferred Major(s): Business Administration, Compensation, Human Resources, Industrial Psychology, Information Systems
Preferred Level of Education: College sophomore and above
