Onboarding Champion

Responsibilities
Partner with Culture Manager to support, coordinate, and improve New Employee Orientation (NEO) experience so that it stays relevant and reflects Blue’s culture, mission and values, and brand. Partner with teams and leaders to develop role-specific onboarding plans. Coordinate onboarding resources, toolkits, and digital content for managers and employees. Partner with Culture Ambassadors, HR, and department leaders to create a welcoming and engaging first-day experience. Assist in the development of onboarding-related communications, visuals, and hub resources to maintain clarity and consistency across the organization
Facilitate applicable NEO training sessions, both in-person and virtual, covering topics such as company culture, values, and internal resources. Collaborate with subject matter experts to incorporate member experience, product knowledge, compliance, and service training into the onboarding roadmap. Offer back-up guidance on complex situations, helping employees navigate processes, systems, and resources effectively through Hotline or 1:1 connects
Serve as a main point of contact for new hires, ensuring consistent communication and guidance throughout the onboarding journey. Identifies the proper resources to match employee needs with. Coordinate logistics for New Employee Orientation (NEO) and onboarding sessions, including scheduling, materials, and communication with presenters and leaders. Drive participation for onboarding programs and facilitate Journey Mapping experiences. Coordinate applicable programs and resources associated with the 1-year and “re-boarding” milestones. Conduct regular check-ins (touchpoints) during an employee’s first year to address questions, provide support, and gather feedback. Assist in creating career pathways and learning plans to support long-term retention and performance goals
Recommend updates and enhancements to orientation content, processes, and communication strategies. Use surveys, new hire feedback, and retention data to measure onboarding program effectiveness
Must comply with all company policies and procedures, applicable laws and regulations, including but not limited to, the Bank Secrecy Act, the Patriot Act, and the Office of Foreign Assets Control
Qualification
Required
3–5 years of experience in employee onboarding, training, or HR coordination roles
A two-year college degree or completion of a specialized course of study at a business or trade school equivalent to approximately 64 credit hours
A significant level of trust, credibility and diplomacy is required
Must comply with all company policies and procedures, applicable laws and regulations, including but not limited to, the Bank Secrecy Act, the Patriot Act, and the Office of Foreign Assets Control
Must be able to perform job functions independently or with limited supervision and work effectively either on own or as part of a team
Must be able to read and carry out various written instructions and follow oral instructions
Must be able to complete basic mathematical calculations, spell accurately, and understand computer basics
Must be able to speak clearly and deliver information in a logical and understandable sequence
Must be capable of dealing calmly and professionally with numerous different personalities from diverse cultures at various levels within and outside of the organization
Must be able to perform responsibilities with composure under the stress of deadlines / requirements for extreme accuracy and quality and/or fast pace
Must be able to effectively handle multiple, simultaneous, and changing priorities
Must be capable of exercising highest level of discretion on both internal and external confidential matters
Preferred
Experience in employee experience, culture initiatives, or L&D preferred
