Responsibilities
Provides instruction in business office education (e.g., typing, general business) and individual assistance
Assesses educational needs of inmates
Develops lesson plans to address those needs to include individual assignments and training
Provides instruction and individual assistance
Administers, scores and interprets examinations and proficiency indicators
Maintains discipline and/or security
Counsels’ students concerning their performance, behavior and/or personal problems
Attends meetings as required
Prepares required records and reports (e.g., enrollment, grades, student progress)
Inventories and orders supply and materials needed
Researches, selects and recommends new teaching materials
Attends in-service training sessions and workshops for professional development
Performs other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Must meet eligibility requirements for Teacher Certificate/License appropriate for career-tech administrative office tech & grade level as assigned
Teacher 1, 71371, must also have baccalaureate degree or less per OEA agreement
Applicant must successfully obtain Teacher Certificate or License prior to employment
