Akkodis is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer for a Contract to Hire with a client in Horseheads NY. The ideal candidate will leverage strong process-engineering expertise to monitor manufacturing line performance and drive continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

Monitor and optimize manufacturing line performance by balancing throughput and reducing changeover downtime
Analyze machine data to maximize utilization and minimize scrap through data‑driven decisions
Develop, maintain, and validate wave and reflow soldering profiles to ensure compliance with IPC‑610B and other quality standards
Design or procure production tooling such as stencils, fixtures, vacuum plates, and solder pallets to support efficient operations
Lead line reconfigurations and equipment move, coordinating with cross‑functional support teams throughout installation and setup
Ensure adherence to scheduled machine maintenance and promote open communication across manufacturing engineering and support groups

Required

Bachelor's degree in engineering or related technical field (preferred)

Hands-on experience with soldering processes, tooling design, or manufacturing line optimization (per client needs)
