Responsibilities
Review MRP messages to determine material requirements for customer orders or forecasted demand
Send RFQs to prequalified suppliers based on material requirements
Review supplier quotes and recommend the best option for purchase
Create and execute purchase orders with suppliers
Review payment requirements with accounting and help facilitate prepayments as needed
Follow-up with suppliers to ensure materials are received according to promised date
Assist with onboarding new suppliers as requested
Support the Engineering Team with new product development for sourcing and delivery of prototype materials
Help with maintaining accurate inventory counts
Perform other duties as assigned to support the success of Fortem Technologies, Inc
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Operations Management, Business Management or a related field. Commensurate experience will be considered
minimum of 1-year direct experience in a Buyer or similar role
Excellent computer skills using the Microsoft Office Suite tools
Knowledge of how MRP works and ability to navigate in ERP system (Odoo or Global Shop experience a plus)
US Citizenship is required
