Responsibilities
Develop, test, and maintain ETL/ELT processes for ingesting, transforming, and delivering data
Develop and lead data models, schema, and data warehousing solutions on cloud platforms (e.g., Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift, or Azure Synapse)
Implement standard processes for data engineering, including automation, version control, CI/CD, and data quality monitoring
Collaborate with data analysts, data scientists, and business partners to understand data needs
Ensure data security, privacy, and compliance with relevant regulations
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field
5+ years of professional experience as a Data Engineer
Hands-on expertise with at least one major cloud data warehouse technology (Snowflake, BigQuery, or Azure Synapse)
Proficient in SQL and at least one programming language (Python preferred)
Experience with modern data pipelines, orchestration frameworks (e.g., Airflow, dbt), and ETL/ELT tools
Preferred
Strong understanding of data modeling, data architecture, and data governance
Familiarity with version control (Git) and CI/CD processes
Experience with streaming data technologies (Kafka, Kinesis) is a plus
Familiarity with Gen AI coding agents is desirable
Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
