Senior Accountant

Palmetto Infusion provides comprehensive ambulatory and home-based infusion services to both acute and chronically ill patients. The Senior Accountant is responsible for overseeing key accounting operations, compliance filings, and general ledger review while supporting month-end close, audits, and process improvements.

Responsibilities

Complete and oversee all non-payroll statutory and regulatory filings, including sales tax, personal property tax, business licenses, unclaimed property, and annual 1099 reporting
Review and analyze general ledger activity, including monthly reconciliations, account analysis, and identification of correcting entries
Serve as a NetSuite subject matter expert, providing guidance and troubleshooting support to accounting and AP staff
Perform final review and approval of AP invoices in Stampli and employee expense reports in NetSuite in accordance with company SOPs
Review vendor setup, payment files, and disbursements to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with internal controls
Review daily and periodic accounting reports (e.g., cash activity, outstanding checks, open items) and resolve discrepancies
Support the monthly close process by assisting the Controller with journal entry review, reconciliations, and related activities
Prepare general ledger and expense analyses, including pivot and trend analysis of balance sheet and expense accounts
Support audit activities, including preparation of audit workpapers and requested documentation
Serve as a resource and escalation point for accounting and AP staff, supporting process improvements and consistency in accounting practices

Required

4 years of progressive accounting experience, including general ledger, month-end close, statutory filings, AP/expense review, NetSuite proficiency, and audit support
Bachelors Degree in Accounting or Finance
Proficient at partner programs (i.e.: MS Outlook, Word, Excel)
Ability to cope with ambiguous, changing environment while under pressure in a calm manner
Must be able to work as a team member and develop productive and cooperative working relationships with all members of the Palmetto Infusion team
