The role focuses on Microsoft environments, including license management and document storage, while also developing new cloud solutions within Microsoft 365.

Responsibilities
Learn how Microsoft licenses are leveraged by different roles at the company
Assist with ensuring that the appropriate licenses have been assigned to employees
Identify and document cost saving opportunities within the Sandpiper Hospitality environment
Ensure accuracy of information included in user accounts and groups
Assist with planning and execution of our document migration strategy to Microsoft Teams
Facilitate communication within the organization to ensure expectations are well understood
Assist co-workers with issues as they encounter them during the migration
Help design the internal knowledge portals that deliver training to employees across the nation
Assist with collecting and organizing the training materials that make up our Sandpiper University portal
Develop new ways to leverage SharePoint Online and Microsoft Teams to enhance workforce collaboration
Learn about the Microsoft “low code” environment that delivers applications to users directly out of Microsoft 365
Help maintain existing applications and design new solutions to automate workflows within Sandpiper Hospitality
Serve as a backup for other departmental functions
All other duties as assigned by supervision
Qualification
Required
Studying towards a Bachelor's degree in Technology, Math or Science
Advanced proficiency with the Microsoft 365 suite
Must be able to read, write, and speak English proficiently
Active Listening – able to give full attention to the person speaking, taking time to understand points being made, asking appropriate questions, and not interrupting at inappropriate times
Writing – able to communicate via written mediums conveying a clear message
Critical Thinking – able to use logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternate solution, conclusions, or approaches to problems
Read, comprehend, and follow written procedures
Able to work collaboratively in a team environment
Mathematical Reasoning – using the correct mathematical methods or formulas to solve a problem
Oral and Written Comprehension – the ability to understand information and ideas presented in these formats
Deductive Reasoning - to apply general rules to specific problems to produce answers that make sense
