The role involves providing excellent instruction in various aviation subjects and contributing to program development and student recruitment activities.
Education
Responsibilities
Teach approximately 12-15 credit hours of undergraduate and/or graduate courses per semester in Aviation Technology
Service to include committee work in support of departmental, college, university, and professional society activities
Assist with departmental student recruitment activities, career student advising and student club activities
Maintain and enhance laboratory teaching environment including design and fabrication of innovative teaching materials
Assist in student recruitment and retention, alumni and industry relations, program marketing/public relations, and other program needs
Professional development, including conferences, online interactions and contributing to the aviation and collegiate education communities
Qualification
Required
Master's degree in aviation or a related field
Three years of related aviation industry experience
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Excellent computer and technology skills
Preferred
Online course instruction experience
Collegiate teaching experience and knowledge of curriculum subjects
Instructional design and curriculum development for collegiate courses
FAA certification (i.e. Airframe and Powerplants, Commercial Pilot, Professional Air Traffic Controller, Remote Pilot)
Experience with radio-controlled/model aviation, especially with integration and flight of UAS autopilot systems
Record of professional development in aviation, including publications, presentations, certifications
