Development Associate for Public Radio Tulsa KWGS

Responsibilities

Creates a cohesive and consistent social media presence to deliver accurate news, increase engagement, promote donor loyalty, and build a sense of community among consumers
Creates and manages Public Radio Tulsa’s email marketing, including fundraising, donor stewardship, and program and event promotion
Designs, scripts, creates materials, and coordinates with third-party vendors and designers as needed, as well as donor/listener reach via MailChimp, website, Facebook, Instagram, X(Twitter), and other web-based vehicles
Writes, edits, and publishes twice-monthly e-newsletter, In The Moment, and monthly e-newsletter, Our Town
Maintains station website and all interconnected NPR Digital Services. This includes content management and promotion, managing the station website, Event Calendar, Programs Calendar, and Google Ads
Monitors, analyzes, and provides metrics on use of the station’s digital assets (website use, social use, digital fundraising response)
Maintains streaming services
Maintains station domain subscriptions, email services, and donation links through the CRM (Allegiance)
Develops, plans, organizes, and implements all station events related to fundraising, marketing, and community-building
Identifies opportunities to build station engagement, awareness, and support through events
Collaborates with other Tulsa and NE Oklahoma leaders in philanthropy, growth, and thought to build events and activities that enhance both the listeners’ experiences with the station and their part of a wider community
Processes incoming donor checks through internal CRM
Participates in KWGS and KWTU fund drives in various roles, including promotion, scripting, and on-air pitching (if applicable)
Actively collaborates with Development Director to create an exciting, cohesive development plan that meets the station’s growing needs

Required

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in development/fundraising or marketing
Demonstrated organizational and time management skills
Exceptional written and interpersonal skills
Demonstrated skills with Microsoft Suite, and digital media platforms, including Instagram, Facebook, and email marketing

Preferred

Public Radio development experience and/or other nonprofit fundraising experience
Experience with MailChimp™ or similar email marketing tool
Experience with Canva™ or similar graphic design tools
Experience planning and implementing a variety of different events
Experience with the mechanics of on-air public radio or TV fundraising drives
Proficiency working with Constituent Relationship Management (CRM) software
Familiarity with and enthusiasm for the mission of Public Radio Tulsa
