Responsibilities

Upgrades, configures, tests, troubleshoots and repairs computer systems, including servers with an emphasis on a specific area of expertise. Installs operating systems and other applications
Technical support of other technicians
Uses their advance knowledge to help prepare other technicians to gain new knowledge so that they may perform their duties more efficiently. Helps to prepare technicians to achieve industry certifications

Required

Upgrades, configures, tests, troubleshoots and repairs computer systems, including servers with an emphasis on a specific area of expertise
Installs operating systems and other applications
Technical support of other technicians
Uses their advance knowledge to help prepare other technicians to gain new knowledge so that they may perform their duties more efficiently
Helps to prepare technicians to achieve industry certifications
Operating knowledge of Microsoft Windows, Linux and Apple operating systems
Ability to read basic schematics
Ability to follow instructions
Must meet all vendor training and certification requirements within their specific area of expertise
Has a goal of maintaining the department quality numbers as well as maintaining a minimal level of backlog
Ability to increase the overall productivity of the department
Articulate with ability to express oneself clearly and professionally in written and oral communication
Ability to work independently is a very important part of this job
Detail oriented with item by item focus, meticulous attention to detail with ability to proofread for accuracy
CompTIA A+ certification
