Responsibilities

Collaborate with the Principal Investigator and research team to develop research objectives, study design, and methodological approaches for research projects and proposals within the Department of OBGYN
Conduct and support clinical, translational, and laboratory-based research activities in accordance with approved protocols, including performance of complex laboratory and data collection techniques
Recruit and screen research participants in outpatient and inpatient settings; support informed consent, study visits, and follow-up activities
Apply clinical knowledge to support eligibility assessment, protocol adherence, and interpretation of clinical and biological data
Collect, process, and manage biological specimens and clinical data in alignment with study protocols
Coordinate research activities across clinical and laboratory settings, working closely with clinical care teams to integrate research procedures into patient care workflows
Monitor study progress, data quality, and protocol compliance; recommend and implement procedural or methodological adjustments as needed
Manage data collection, entry, validation, and quality control using approved systems (e.g., REDCap, Epic-linked tools); maintain accurate source documentation and study records
Analyze, interpret, and evaluate experimental, laboratory, or clinical research data and results to support study objectives, refine research approaches, and inform dissemination efforts
Contribute to the preparation of research findings, manuscripts, abstracts, presentations, grants, and progress reports under the direction of the Principal Investigator
Participate in departmental research meetings and collaborative project discussions
Perform other related duties and participate in special projects as assigned

Required

Bachelor's degree in science or related field required
A minimum of 3 years related research experience
Experience or training in clinical Ob./Gyn. or translational research
Possesses and applies comprehensive knowledge of research principles, concepts, practices and methods
Proficient in specific lab research techniques

Preferred

Master's degree in science preferred
