Responsibilities
Absorb and own the brand voice, write product content (all the funny stuff that we put into the things we make), create copy for presentations and the web, edit and rework ideas created by other team members, maintain a passion for pop culture (an excuse to watch a lot of garbage TV) and conduct research - the fun kind
Work with our external proofreader, engage in the creation of products from concept to execution, assist with product ideation and play testing, and can write (and still be clever) in specific space requirements
Use (and abuse) em dashes and/or try your best to stop us from doing that
Qualification
Required
minimum of 3-5 years' writing experience
proficiency in Microsoft Word and Teams
ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously
writing examples that demonstrate the style of writing detailed above
Preferred
InDesign and Illustrator experience
writing experience in comedy, entertainment, marketing, or specifically in the gift/novelty industry
extensive skills in ideation, self-motivation, and organization
ability to work independently and collaboratively
proactive with a strong learning agility
ability to adapt quickly and work through ambiguity
short-form humor and/or marketing/advertising style copywriting experience
extensive knowledge of weird pop-culture references
affinity for making everyone around you laugh
