Director of Human Resources

Palmetto Lowcountry Behavioral Health is a provider of psychiatric and substance abuse services in South Carolina. The Human Resources Director is responsible for executing HR activities across all functional areas, serving as a strategic partner and resource for facility management, and overseeing full cycle recruitment and employee relations programs.

Responsibilities

Responsible for full cycle recruitment: research positions, full understanding of the Facility’s staffing needs, sourcing for candidates, leveraging the ATS, interviewing, selection, negotiating employment offers, assisting with new employee orientation, etc.). Implements and maintains proactive recruitment and retention strategies
Advises with Facility management and consults with Corporate HR Operations on sensitive corrective actions, PI Plans, terminations, position restructures, reductions-in-force and other performance issues
Manages employee relations and retention programs including the onboarding program for the Behavioral Health facilities. Oversees employee engagement activities

Required

Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field
A minimum of 8-10 years of Human Resources experience
Previous Supervisory/management Experience
Strong written and verbal communication skills
An understanding of Federal and State employment laws and regulations related to HR
Working knowledge of administering wage/salary programs, benefits, workers compensation, recruiting/retention plans, training/staff development, and employee relations
Requires leadership, organizational, supervisory and administrative abilities including excellent computer skills and knowledge of various software, internet-based HR systems and email

Preferred

Master's Degree
Previous healthcare experience
HR Certification (through HRCI or SHRM)
