Tax Examiner I - Collections
The Colorado Department of Revenue is dedicated to empowering businesses and individuals through quality customer service and collaboration. The Tax Examiner I in the Collections Section will collect various delinquent taxes, answer questions, and resolve account notices and billing issues for customers in need of tax collection enforcement assistance.

Responsibilities
Research, explain, and advise taxpayers on how to comply with Colorado tax laws, especially those pertaining to outstanding tax debt and collection enforcement
Perform research, analysis, and necessary adjustments to customer accounts
Provide high-quality customer service and de-escalate conflicts when necessary
Qualification
Required
High school diploma or General Education Diploma (GED)
Two (2) years of experience in an occupational field related to the work assigned to the position
Preferred
Collections and/or tax experience
Experience using GenTax software
Proficient with Microsoft and Google Suite
Experience in a fast-paced, independent, and production driven environment
High-quality verbal and written communication skills
Experience with public facing customer service
Experience working in a call center environment
