Akkodis is seeking a Java Developer for a Contract with a client in Phoenix, AZ. The ideal candidate will design and build scalable web applications while managing databases and supporting end-to-end software development activities.

Responsibilities

Develop, test, and maintain Java-based applications using frameworks such as Spring, Hibernate, and Struts to ensure high‑performance and scalable software solutions
Build and enhance web applications using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and related front‑end technologies to deliver responsive and user-friendly interfaces
Manage and optimize relational databases (MySQL, Oracle), including writing queries, performing integrations, and ensuring data integrity across applications
Support installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of software systems while contributing to network administration and overall technical infrastructure tasks
Participate in Agile/Scrum project development cycles, collaborating with cross‑functional teams to deliver features, resolve issues, and ensure timely project completion
Leverage cloud technologies such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud to support application deployment, environment management, and modernized system architecture

Required

Bachelor's or master's degree in software engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical discipline
Minimum of 3 years of hands‑on experience in Java development and related software engineering responsibilities
Strong proficiency in Core Java and web development frameworks such as Spring, Hibernate, and Struts, with experience building full‑stack web applications
Working knowledge of database technologies (MySQL, Oracle) and familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud)
