Responsibilities
Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location
Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting actions taken and notifying appropriate personnel per post orders
Conduct regular and random foot patrols of patient care areas, public spaces, offices, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to discourage unwanted activity and/or identify hazards or policy violations
Support access control by monitoring entrances and restricted areas, assisting with visitor wayfinding, and/or reporting unauthorized access attempts according to site procedures
Complete shift reports, incident reports, and daily activity logs, and communicate relevant observations to oncoming personnel and site leadership as required
Qualification
Required
A valid driver's license is required in the state where the job is located
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment
A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only
Preferred
Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred
Having a guard card or license is preferred
Being able to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred
