Responsibilities

Manage clinical trial patients and all study data collection
Explain the study to patients and potential patients
Educate staff about clinical trials and processes
Collaborate with investigator(s) and provide guidance with formulating clinical research objectives
Contribute to the design of clinical research protocols
Oversee clinical research trials and conduct quality assurance reviews
Monitor patient's status throughout the study
Review and evaluate health status, lab findings, and reactions
Address/resolve clinical trial patient complaints
Schedule/coordinate/perform testing and/or treatments according to established protocols or as prescribed by a physician or principal investigator

Required

Bachelor's Degree Nursing
5 years Clinical research nursing experience
2 years Clinical nursing experience (ICU, CCU, MICU preferred)
Knowledge of research nursing practices, clinical expertise, and research compliance
Experience in conducting clinical research trials
Demonstrated commitment to quality service and care, teamwork, and hospital goals
Registered Nurse - RN (CA Board of Registered Nursing)
Basic Life Support (BLS) Provided by the American Heart Association
Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) Course. Certification from CITI Program
Human Subjects Research (HSR) Training Certification from CITI Program
Good Clinical Practice (GCP) Training Certification from CITI Program

Preferred

CCRC (Certified Clinical Research Coordinator) certification from ACRP
