Responsibilities
Designs, writes, edits, and distributes content and graphics for social media, presentations, websites, and talking points
Supports creation of content and management of logistics for special announcements/events
Develops, coordinates, and executes comprehensive communication strategies, including a content creation plan to enhance NC Children’s reputation and visibility
Works closely with clinical and administrative leaders to identify stories and achievements for coverage, including NC Children’s milestones
Coordinates with NC Children’s team and external agencies to maximize outreach impact and ensure alignment with NC Children’s goals
Advises on and supports internal communications initiatives to foster engagement and alignment
Monitors media coverage and analyzes effectiveness of communications efforts, making data-driven recommendations to continuously improve strategies
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in an appropriate discipline
Five (5) years of experience in communications, public relations, marketing or related field
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Background in graphic design
Background in creation/management of social media channels
Knowledge of medical research concepts sufficient to enable communication with clinical and basic science faculty
