Responsibilities

Lead the vision, strategy, and execution for Point’s data function across analytics, data engineering, and data science
Operate and evolve a modern data stack (Snowflake, dbt, Airflow, Fivetran, Estuary, Sigma, Hightouch, PostHog), with a focus on data modeling, metrics design, and analytical usability
Own company-wide metric definitions, experimentation standards, and analytics prioritization, driving clarity, consistency, and accountability in decision-making
Lead and actively contribute to Point’s analytics function, ensuring insights, metrics, and experimentation meaningfully influence business decisions
Build more scalable infrastructure and workflows for data science, enabling higher-impact modeling, analysis, and experimentation
Hire, develop, and lead a high-performing data team

Required

12+ years of experience in data roles, with senior leadership experience across analytics, analytics engineering, data engineering, and/or data science in high-growth technology companies (bonus points for fintech or similar)
Proven track record building and leading data teams that drive meaningful business outcomes
Deep expertise in metrics, experimentation, and decision-oriented analytics; you've owned analytical frameworks that directly influenced strategy and execution
Strong technical and systems foundation, with the ability to evaluate data architectures, tooling, and data science approaches
Track record of translating ambiguous business problems into clear analytical approaches and outcomes
Enjoys being hands-on when needed and knows when to delegate
Clear communicator and trusted leader who sets a high bar and invests in their team
