Responsibilities

Assist with monitoring and analyzing security alerts and events using SIEM and other cybersecurity monitoring tools under the guidance of senior analysts
Support Tier 1 analysts in the identification, triage, and documentation of potential security incidents and suspicious activity
Participate in incident response activities, including evidence collection, basic analysis, and post-incident documentation
Help document security incidents, procedures, and lessons learned to support continuous improvement and knowledge sharing within the CSOC
Conduct Research on emerging cybersecurity threats, vulnerabilities, and technologies, and present findings to the team
Assit with maintaining and updating incident response procedures, standard operations procedures (SOPS), and playbooks
Collaborate with CSOC team members on day-to-day operational tasks and special projects as assigned

Required

Currently enrolled in a bachelor's or master's degree program in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field
Basic understanding of cybersecurity concepts such as threat analysis, vulnerability management, and network security
Familiarity with cybersecurity tools such as SIEM platforms, firewalls, or antivirus software (Splunk experience is a plus)
Knowledge of networking protocols, operating systems, and basic scripting (Python, Bash, or PowerShell is a plus)
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
Excellent writing skills

Preferred

Exposure to cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
Knowledge of compliance frameworks such as NIST, ISO 27001, or SOC 2
