Goodwin Recruiting is seeking an experienced Senior Associate Attorney with 5+ years of real estate transactional experience to join a premier legal team. This role represents developers, redevelopers, and lenders in complex commercial transactions and high-stakes redevelopment projects throughout New Jersey.

Responsibilities

Manage all phases of commercial real estate transactions, including acquisitions, sales, leasing, and financing
Draft and negotiate purchase and sale agreements, loan documents, leases, and redevelopment agreements
Advise on land use and zoning matters and represent clients before municipal boards and governing bodies
Lead real estate-related disputes, including prerogative writ actions and title challenges
Conduct and oversee due diligence, including title, survey, and environmental reviews
Mentor junior associates and oversee workflow to ensure accuracy in client deliverables

Qualification

Required

Juris Doctoral (J.D.) degree from an accredited school of law
Admitted to practice law in the State of New Jersey (New York admission is a plus)
5+ years of legal experience in commercial real estate and NJ land-use law
Proven experience appearing before planning and zoning boards
Excellent drafting, negotiation, and project management skills
Proficiency with LexisNexis, Westlaw, and Microsoft Office Suite

Preferred

Portable book of business or existing client relationships preferred
